ปะการังในทะเลไม่ได้มีไว้แค่สวยงาม — มันคือที่พักพิง ที่หลบภัย ที่ที่ปลาน้อยมาหาความสุขและความปลอดภัย

"การัง" มาจากรากศัพท์ภาษามลายูของคำว่า ปะการัง — สิ่งมีชีวิตที่สร้างบ้านให้ผู้อื่น เราหยิบรากนี้มาเป็นชื่อ เพราะมันคือสิ่งที่เราเชื่อตั้งแต่วันแรก

เราเปิดสาขาแรกที่ หาดบางสัก ในช่วงโควิด — หาดสาธารณะของเมืองที่ทุกคนมีสิทธิ์มา ท่ามกลางความเงียบและความไม่แน่นอน เราออกแบบให้การัง เป็น community ของคนชายทะเล มีลานสเก็ต Surf Skate ที่ฮิตในช่วงนั้น มี SUP และไอศครีมที่ดีที่สุดที่เคยกิน ทุกเพศ ทุกวัย ครอบครัว เพื่อน คู่รัก — การัง ออกแบบมาเพื่อทุกคน

ก่อตั้งโดย จินต์ สถาพรสถิตย์สุข นักออกแบบและผู้ประกอบการสร้างสรรค์จากพังงา–ภูเก็ต ผู้เชื่อว่าพื้นที่ชายทะเลสามารถเป็นมากกว่าแค่จุดท่องเที่ยว

ไอศครีม — หัวใจของเรา

การัง คือร้านไอศครีมริมทะเล เราเน้นเป็นคาเฟ่ไอศครีม เพราะเรารัก และเราเชื่อว่าไอศครีมที่ดีจริงต้องสร้างประสบการณ์ให้คนทานได้

เพื่อให้ได้ไอศครีมในแบบที่ฝัน เราใช้วัตถุดิบคุณภาพสูงที่สุด ของจริง ของแท้จากแหล่ง ไม่ว่าจะมาจากมุมไหนของโลก เราจะนำเข้า ใส่ปริมาณเน้นๆ ไม่มียั้ง — เพราะรสชาติที่แท้จริงไม่มีทางโกหกได้

แม้แต่รสคลาสสิกอย่างช็อกโกแลตหรือวานิลลา ก็ต้องหอมกว่าที่เคยทาน เข้มข้นกว่า ได้เนื้อกว่า เข้าถึงแก่นของรสชาตินั้นจริงๆ

และในฐานะนักออกแบบ เราใส่ความสร้างสรรค์ลงในทุกรสด้วย — เล่าเรื่องราวของวัตถุดิบท้องถิ่น สร้างความประหลาดใจในรสชาติและรสสัมผัส พัฒนามากกว่า 130 รสชาติ ทดลองซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า:

แต่ละรสเป็นเรื่องราวที่กินได้ การผลิตไอศครีมของเรายังส่งให้ร้านอาหารและคาเฟ่ทั่วประเทศ เพราะรสชาติสร้างสรรค์ย่อมสร้างการจดจำให้ร้านได้

GROM ถือกำเนิดที่หาดบางสักนี้เอง สร้างจากตัวละครเด็กน้อยผมหนวดปลาหมึก ชาวมอแกน ผู้หลงรักการเล่นเซิร์ฟและท้องทะเล ที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากปัญหาขยะทะเล จึงออกตามหาที่มาของขยะเหล่านั้น

ผลิตด้วยเทคนิค Grom Reborn Embed™ — พิมพ์โครงสร้าง 3 มิติด้วยไบโอเรซิน แล้วนำพลาสติกทะเลที่คัดแยกตามสีฝังลงในชิ้นงานโดยตรง ไม่ต้องหลอม ไม่ต้องเผา ขยะแต่ละชิ้นจึงยังคงตัวตนอยู่ในงานศิลปะ มองเห็นได้ จับต้องได้

Garang — A Shelter by the Sea

Coral doesn't just look beautiful — it shelters. It protects. It's where small fish find safety, community, and joy.

Garang comes from the Malay root word for coral — a living thing that builds a home for others. We took that root as our name because it's what we believed from day one.

We opened our first location at Bangsak Beach during COVID — a public beach that belongs to everyone. While the world stood still, we built a community space: a Surf Skate ramp (huge during lockdown), SUP on the water, and ice cream worth making the trip for. Every age, every kind of person. Families, friends, couples. Garang was designed for all of them.

Founded by Jin Sthaponstidsuk, a designer and creative entrepreneur from Phang Nga–Phuket, who believes coastal spaces can be more than tourist stops.

Ice Cream — Our Heart

Garang is an ice cream café by the sea. We focus on ice cream because we love it — and we believe truly great ice cream must create an experience, not just a flavor.

To get there, we use only the highest-quality ingredients. Real, authentic, sourced from origin — wherever in the world that may be. No holding back on quantity. Because real flavor cannot lie.

Even the classics — chocolate, vanilla — must smell better than anything you've had before. Richer. Fuller. Truer to the soul of that flavor.

And as designers, we bring creativity into every scoop. Local ingredients with stories to tell. Surprising textures. Unexpected combinations. Over 130 flavors developed in-house, tested obsessively:

GROM — Art Toy from Ocean Plastic

GROM was born on this beach. The character: a young Moken boy with squid-tentacle hair, who loves surfing and the sea — until ocean plastic begins destroying the world he loves. He sets out to find where it all comes from.

Made using Grom Reborn Embed™ — a technique that 3D prints a bio-resin structure, then embeds ocean plastic sorted by color directly into the piece. No melting. No burning. Each piece of waste keeps its identity inside the artwork. Visible. Tangible.

Joong Phuket — Official Mascot of Phuket

Jin also designed Joong (จุ้ง), the official mascot of Phuket Province — winner of the Phuket mascot design competition. Now developed into a 6-pose Art Toy Phuket Series made from recycled plastic. A design that fuses the city's identity with art and sustainability in a single collectible piece.

We pushed until it became the Bangsak Beach Festival — an annual event that draws tens of thousands, proving to the province and every relevant agency that this beach has the community, the energy, and the story to be a real destination.

The Sound of Khao Lak

Garang doesn't just play music — we wrote our own.

Khaolak Surf Town Playlist was composed by Jin to capture every mood of this place — morning light on the water, lazy golden afternoons, the quiet after the last wave. Music that sounds exactly like Khao Lak feels.

This playlist was also part of the creative push that helped Khao Lak earn its place as one of Thailand's 5 Creative Culture Cities (CCD) — because a town with its own culture needs its own sound.
